For his latest video off “The Autobiography” , Vic Mensa gives his Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “We Could Be Free” a powerful visual makeover. Through the life of a young black male, which is tragically cut short by a cop, the video juxtaposes the safe space of a mother’s womb and the innocence of youth with the social and racial injustice of the outside world. Despite the heartbreak, though, there’s also an underlying message of hope. “The goal of the video is the same as the goal of the song, which is to unify people,” Vic says.

Vic Mensa Announces New Project ‘The Manuscript’
Vic Mensa took to Instagram on Tuesday (Jun. 6) to announce The Manuscript. Fans of the Chicago MC won’t have to wait long, as its set to drop this Thursday (Jun. 8). There’s no details if The Manuscript will an EP or Mensa’s official debut album, releasing under Roc Nation.
