We talkin commas….
While on the DJ Pest Stage in New York I was blessed with a performance by MC Reef. I really enjoyed his performance so I wanted to ask a few questions to promote his music and his single commas.

Tell the people about yourself.
I am a Hip Hop Artist born and raised in NYC by way of Brooklyn (Coney Island) and Queens (Far Rock). Acting was my real dream and passion, but I discovered music accidentally or maybe on purpose, and once I discovered I was good at writing it, I decided to dive further into the artist role. My style of music is what I call R.A.P (Rhythm, Art and Pain) so you’re always gonna get real life mixed with a catchy sound mixed with some wordplay and lyricism
How long have you been making music?
I started making music in 2008 and began to take it seriously in 2010 – 2011 when I had my very first studio experience

What are your music goals?
From a small kid even before I started music I always wanted to be a voice for the voiceless so that is pretty much still the same goal. I want to keep creating music that makes people feel comfortable with, helps them relate to situations they wouldn’t normally express if it wasn’t for my song/video/message.
Who or what inspires you to create music?
I think my love for writing and creating stories from experiences is what truly inspires me, I watch alot of BTS and storyline production videos on YouTube so I am always a fan of the back story to how a creation was even an idea to begin with. Also, I have my immediate family, who has always been very supportive of my decision to pursue this lifestyle. Aside from one of my uncles, my family never judged me or ever told me that there was something better that I could be doing, however that same uncle eventually began to hear the music I was making and became a big fan of it so yeah, my whole family really enjoyed it and I’ve been able to freely express myself and tell my truth and they don’t get offended if I speak on something in the music that really happened in my life.
Now you know I have to ask, who are your top 3 favorite artists?
Nas is really the real reason I decided to even consider this, but I grew up on many artists, so in order of impact, I’d say
Nas
EminemÂ
T-Pain

Where can people find your music?
I have all of my music freestyles, EPs and albums that I ever released from 2011 to 2021 on SoundCloud (MC Reef). I have a new YouTube channel so all of my older videos and content are on (MC Reef) and all my of new and future content releases will be on (MC Reef Music) and you can find my original work on all streaming platform (Apple Music, Tidal, Spotify, Google Play Music, YouTube Music, Pandora etc) by searching MC Reef.
