From Phoenix to New York!

Phoenix born and raised artist J-Unó just went crazy on that DJ Pest stage in New York a few weeks back. I thought it was only right that I asked him a few questions so you can get to know one of the hottest artist on the rise. Check out the questions and answers below…

Tell the people about yourself.

I’m big on core values and principles; like Family, Respect, loyalty, hard work & etc. are big to me. I’m also big on the idea that my past tribulations don’t dictate where I’m going but who I’ll be when I get there. “To live is to conquer” ; so I plan to make the most of my time while here.

How long have you been making music?

I’ve been officially recording/making music since 2014. That year was the first time I heard my voice on a track.

How long have you been making music?

Although throughout periods of my life ; I can remember as young as 7years young having multiple attempts at writing rhymes

What are your music goals?

My biggest goal with my music is to leave my mark professionally , by making timeless music; especially since it’ll be here longer than myself. I want my music to resonate with people like great music should. I also want to be able to successfully captivate and entertain a large audience by performing for big venues. Another goal I have musically is to work with some of the big names that inspired me, in addition to all raw stand out talent also.

Who or what inspires you to create music?

My environment is part of the puzzle that inspires me to make music. Music in general can act as my therapy, and sometimes there are things that need to be spoken on. In addition, to my supporters/fans that believe in me; I think that combination stimulates my inspiration.

Now you know I have to ask, who are your top 3 favorite artists?

Ahh man , it’s always hard to narrow it down to just 3! It’s almost impossible for me to only to have 3 but if I had to say ; I would say Tupac because he was one of the first rap sounds that I recognized had soul and a certain power to it. Sauce walka because his way of lyrically being able to bring an audience visually into his perspective is uncanny. Lastly Lauren Hill ; she’s one of the best to ever do it and I think she’s how a real musical artist should be.

Y’all can find my music on all platforms under “J-UNÓ”. I’m on apple, Spotify, YouTube/YouTube Music , tik tok, and etc. You name it I’m one there.
