This artist Amaziing is an amazing talent (no pun intended). Performing on the DJ Pest Stage a few weeks ago in New York I wanted to introduce her to you by promoting her and her new project Amaziing The EP

Tell the people about yourself.

I go by Amaziing I am a songwriter singer/rapper and barber/stylist. I have loved music since I was a child. I taught myself the art of music as a way to cope with life experiences and I’ve loved expressing myself thru music. From church choirs to marching band to becoming an independent entrepreneur in the music industry. I know that music is timeless and it can reach so many people and bring them together no matter their background is or what the world is going through.

How long have you been making music?

I’ve been writing since I was 9 years old. Teaching myself how to write hooks bridges and verses started with me writing poems and adding a melody or beat to it. I found out early I was a musical poet and didn’t know it. 🤩. I’ve been consistently recording and writing for about 2-3 years now.

What are your music goals?

My number one goal is to be able to reach and inspire someone who needs a push or a little motivation to be a better version of themselves. While I do dabble in all genres of music, I mainly focus on leaving a positive message for any and everyone who listens. I plan to continue investing in my passion because I know it’s bigger than me.

Who or what inspires you to create music?

The young girls that look like me and dress like me inspire me. The young kings that need to know that they are important inspire me and most of all I have over 30 nieces and nephews who look up to me watch me I’ve had the opportunity to connect with them and understand them with music being our favorite topic of conversation. I’ve been able to help others with disabilities through music as well and like I said I know that it’s bigger than me. Plus I’m always looking for new music to add to my playlist whether it be my own or others who are out creating vibes through their music as well.
