Despite celebrating his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, 6ix9ine says somebody else may have deserved the crown more than himself and Nicki Minaj.

On Monday afternoon (June 22), after securing the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, for his song “Trollz” with Nicki Minaj, 6ix9ine shared a heartfelt comment saying Lil Baby deserved to be in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, instead of himself. “Lil Baby deserved it not gonna lie, BUT I waited on this forever,” Tekashi wrote on Instagram.

Tekashi is referring to Baby’s “The Bigger Picture,” the 25-year-old rapper’s ode to the Black Live Matter Movement that honors the lives of those who passed at the hands of police brutality.

“The Bigger Picture” debuted in the third spot on the Hot 100 chart, behind the “Fefe’ rhymer’s “Trollz” and DaBaby’s Roddy Ricch-assisted “Rockstar” which held the No.1 position on the chart the week before.

Earlier today, the “Gooba” rapper saw his second single since being released from federal prison to serve the remainder of his sentence on home confinement catapult to the top of the charts. After being notified of the victory, 6ix9ine hopped on Instagram to brag about how he could not be stopped.

“Didn’t I tell you, nigga?,” Tekashi began in the celebratory clip. “I can’t be stopped, nigga. Didn’t I tell you? And we got blackballed. You can’t blackball me. Listen, I’m telling you, I’m going on a seven-day rant. You better unfollow me ’cause I’m going on a seven-day rant.

“Trollz’ is the third single that 6ix9ine has had debut in the top 10 of the ranking.
