Well, my name is LaTreasure but people call me Treasure. I’m from a small neighborhood where the odds are always stacked against my people but I’ve always been passionate about becoming my own boss and In 2017 I made that dream and vision become reality. Thus, forming my company SWEETTHANG BEAUTY LLC.
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been an easy path. It took a lot of hard work and dedication. I started out buying ingredients and mixing them to come up with my products but I knew I wanted to take it to another level but taking it to another level meant more money that I didn’t have. I put my faith in God and this year I switched to private labeling for my cosmetics. Even now I still face challenges by having competing brands like M.A.C , NARS, FENTY etc. but over the years I have faith that my brand will reach the same level as the big brand competitors.
What should we know about your business? What does your business do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business is black owned and we put professionalism and customer satisfaction at the top of the list. We are dedicated to providing high quality cosmetics to all individuals, from all walks of life.
Ok, Last Question, What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is being able to reach or accomplish any goal you set. The goal is for SWEETTHANG BEAUTY to become a global brand and while I haven’t reached total success with my company I am setting and completing goals daily.
