Young Buck Reflects On His Career 13 Years After ‘Straight Outta Cashville’

maxresdefault

It’s been 13 years since Young Buck’s debut studio album Straight Outta Cashvilledropped on G-Unit records.

The album was a hit: It did 361,000 in its first week and ended up platinum.

Buck reflected on what’s been the pinnacle of his career — and his career in general — with this Instagram post.

8-24-2004 HAS ALWAYS BEEN A SPECIAL DAY FOR ME. FIRST WORLDWIDE ALBUM I RELEASED IN MY CAREER!! FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY GIVEN TO ME FROM @50cent 💯!! FOREVER PROUD OF MYSELF FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE OPPORTUNITY‼️THE RECORDING PROCESS OF THIS ALBUM I STILL CARRY TO THIS VERY DAY!! @shamoneymotivation WOULD GIVE ME BEATS (cd's at the time) WITH NO PRODUCER NAMES. I LEARNED TO WORK WITH THE #Music FIRST…NOT THE PRODUCER. THIS ALBUM GAVE ALOT OF UNKNOWN PRODUCERS THERE FIRST PLACEMENT AS WELL. SINCE THIS ALBUM DROPPED MY CAREER HAS HAD ITS SHARE OF UPS AND DOWNS. BUT HONESTLY…I WOULDNT CHANGE NOTHING IVE BEEN THROUGH IN THE PAST. WHAT DONT KILL U…CAN TRULY MAKE U STRONGER IF U CHOOSE TO TURN A NEGATIVE PAST…TO A POSITIVE FUTURE‼️‼️I THANK EVERYBODY WHO WAS INVOLVED IN THE MAKING OF THIS ALBUM..AND ALL THE FANS FOR THE CONTINUED SUPPORT💯!! #Blessed🙏🏾..TO BE STILL HERE IN THIS GAME…AND STILL RELEVANT 😎!!
