Tyler, The Creator is among the list of musicians who has recently covered the 1892 song “Daisy Bell (Bicycle Built for Two)” as part of artist Mark Ryden’s art exhibition “The Gay Nineties West”. Says Ty.
“I WAS 15 AND BLOWN AWAY BY MARK RYDENS ART WORK, IT WAS LIKE THE SHIT THAT REALLLLLLY CONNECTED WITH ME ALL THE BRIGHT COLORS BUT FUCKED UP SHIT, BUT I ALWAYS SAID ONE DAY I’LL GET THIS DUDE TO DRAW ME AND HE DID LAST YEAR ( WOLF ALBUM COVER) AND IN EXCHANGE HE ASKED IF I DID A SONG FOR AN UPCOMING ART SHOW HE HAS ENTILED ‘THE GAY 90S’.
