Rita Ora signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation back in 2009 and released her debut album, Ora in 2012. While she is currently working on her upcoming release, the British bombshell has shared with Paper Magazine that boss and mentor Jay Z has been deeply involved in its production, helping her make it “perfect.”
“Now we’re at a place where I’ve grown up a little bit; it’s been two years since my last album. When I met him I was 17, and I am 23 now, so he’s watched me grow and now it’s about me having my own opinion and making my own decisions, which he understands.”
She also spoke on her relationship with Hov, saying it’s more of a family affair than anything;
“It’s more of a brother-sister relationship really. He really cares about me and it’s nice to see a boss who also really wants you to succeed and he’s really doing everything in his power to make this perfect.”
Her new single, “I Will Never Let You Down” is set to drop May 11th, but you can check out a quick sneak peek below.
